I hear a lot of people describe ‘cutthroat’ environments in school, business, social circles, etc. What I often find is that people mistake being competitive with being cutthroat. Or rather, they know the difference, but just don’t care to adhere to to a more restrictive set of operating parameters.
When I say ‘cutthroat,’ I define it [...]

In the classroom, there are people who speak because they have something to share– and then there are those who talk because they like the sound of their own voice. I have been frustrated dealing with the latter variety because they fill the room with mindless chatter.
People always seem to want attention, but you should [...]

Another event of note that occurred yesterday happened at the tent for various ethnic magazines. I went over to get a look at the publications that are designed for immigrant communities, and there was this older man giving a rant to the disinterested organizers behind the table.

According to an article in the Sept-Oct issue of DesiLife, South Asian kids may not be getting the education that they deserve, or one that would best serve them. I found it interesting that a Chris D’Souza is cited who works for the former school board that I attended in Caledon.

Additionally, there is information on the two future opponents whose lives were interwoven with his destiny—Sonny Liston and Floyd Patterson.
Perhaps [...]

There are a few activities that I would love to be qualified to teach: swimming, yoga, and skiing. Nothing is as rewarding as getting paid to do things you love. After the weekend, however, I realize that I probably would benefit a lot from certification courses in all of those subjects. I have been thinking of doing a [...]

It has now been just over a year since I graduated from University. Ideally, I should be climbing the corporate ladder or pursuing the post-grad education that would dramatically increase my salary. This is what my siblings both managed to accomplish after their undergrad education was complete.
When I asked a friend of mine whether he would [...]
